Mark has been a hockey fan since 1980 after he was taken on a school trip to the then Billingham Ice Rink (before the renovations) to watch the sport after only seeing it on TV with Alan Weeks legendary commentary. That first visit was to spawn a long running love affair with hockey which still remains strong to this day.
A Sheffield Steelers supporter since the day they began, Mark lives and breathes hockey whilst working full time as a Business Support Advisor for one of the UK's largest internet service providers. He is a massive fan of the New Jersey Devils in the NHL and HV71 in the SHL; and has watched hockey in various places from Jönköping, Tallinn and Riga to mention just three. He once watched a Prague derby between Sparta and Slavia, which was a bit of experience in itself.
His all-time favourite players are Martin Brodeur, Scott Stevens and Jaromir Jagr, and he would wear 68 if he was a hockey player himself. Outside hockey and work, Mark loves spending time when he can with his partner Gillian (whom he took on their first date to a hockey game at the "O" in Belfast) and family. He also likes creative writing, travelling, watching most sports, console gaming, music and reading literature.
